Deep colors, eclectic bubbles, rare textures and a wide and uncommon palette define my work.
They come from hand made colors for glass that I make using the same techniques used by the European glass masters of the XV century and a special understanding of chemistry.
Today, this knowledge is almost lost, and only a few glass artists have kept this tradition.
Making my own colors for glass allows me to achieve an infinite palette of colors and textures such as bubbles and crackling effects. As a result, I do not use commercially colored glass.
Because each piece is born out of transparent material, and since glass does not lose its quality when reprocessed, I am able to recycle glass, transforming clear sheets of glass into unique, colorful pieces of art which are also environmentally friendly. |
